A Message from the Practice

Dear patients,

After 39 years, it is time to step away from taking care of you. It has been a distinct honor and privilege to treat you as patients and develop long term relationships with you and your families. There are several instances that we have taken care of three generations of families! Every day I count my blessings, and the fact that you have entrusted your care to me is a major one. I thank God each day for everyone we contact and care for. We have always felt this was a calling rather than a job.

The practice will go on to bigger and better things with Dr. Chapa at the helm (remember I am a sailor 😊). He will continue the tradition of excellence that we have always strived for.

Take care and God’s blessings on each of you!

Thank You!

Practice Announcement

We hope that everyone is safe and doing well after the winter storm. Thanks to everyone for being so understanding regarding the need to close our office during the bad weather in response to safety concerns for our patients and staff. As we continue to get “back to normal”, we will be reaching out as quickly as possible to get everyone rescheduled in a timely manner. We apologize for the inconvenience this unprecedented storm has caused regarding your appointment, and we thank you again for your continued patience and understanding as we work through getting everyone rescheduled at your earliest convenience.

 Sincerely,

Dr. Joshua R. Chapa and the Austin Perio Health Team

Covid-19 Message

Dear Austin Perio Health Patients and Patient Families,

In light of the rapidly changing COVID-19 environment, we would like to remind you that the safety and well-being of our patients and our community is our top priority. Our health and safety procedures at Austin Perio Health have always been strict. We will continue to follow guidelines from the American Dental Association (ADA), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure your safe care. This includes exceeding the routine disinfection of all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace.

Please visit our Covid-19 link at the top of our Home Page for more information on how we are working to keep everyone as safe as possible during this time.

Additional steps we take to protect the health of our patients & staff:

  • We always have and will continue to adhere to CDC and OSHA infection control guidelines.
  • Clinical staff will wear N-95 Respirators with face shields.
  • Hourly decontamination of all frequently touched non-clinical surfaces.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we adhere to these new clinical practices. It is paramount that we as a community band together to expedite our return to normalcy. We are taking every precaution to keep you, our staff and doctors safe. If you have any questions, please give us a call.

Sincerely,
Dr. Joshua R. Chapa and the Austin Perio Health Team
